Whimsy Stamps Paper Door Monthly Kit

I hope you've had a chance to check out the new April Paper Door kit.  I'm telling you, this kit is packed full of goodness; from Distress Markers to an embossing folder to materials for a shaker card.  Oh, and that's not even mentioning the GORGEOUS papers that come with this kit. I am a huge fan of the color blue...and this paper, with the amazing sparkle, is seriously to die for :)

The paper was the big inspiration for this card.  I did sneak outside the kit to use the new grass and cloud edger die from Whimsy Stamps, but seriously, the paper made this card.  Check it out!

The blues are just too amazing together!  I also used the sentiment from the stamp set that comes in the kit as well as the black cardstock for the base.  There are so many beautiful inspiration projects that the team has put together for this new kit.  If you'd like to see them all, just click on the Paper Door tag at the bottom of this post.

If you'd like to order your own kit, just click the Paper Door image below!

SugarPea Designs Sweet Peek - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Sweet Peeks at SugarPea Designs.  I LOVE today's release.  The city scape die cuts are truly amazing and so much fun to use!  There are two; London and Paris.  My first thought when I saw the Paris die was an evening out in Paris.  Who wouldn't want to walk around a city like Paris at night on a warm summer evening?!  I would love to.

I created the night sky with the little stars that are part of the Chic Wishes stamp set that we are also peeking at today!  You can see that in my picture above too!  It has so many beautiful sentiments.  The stars that come with the set are perfect for creating a night sky too.

Remember, all the new stamps and dies will be released in the SugarPea Designs shop this Friday at 6pm.  Don't forget to hop to each blog and leave a comment for your chance to win some of the new release!

Better Together with SugarPea Designs

Hi ya everyone!  I’m super excited to share my first project with you as a SugarPea Designs Guest Designer!  I decided to try my hand at the new April challenge!  Have you checked out the gorgeous sketch and color palette?  I’m in love with those colors.

I decided to use the adorable Better Together stamp set.  How SWEET is this image with that sketch and fantastic color palette?

Darling right?  I simply cut down a piece of Copic blending paper to a 3.5 x 4.5 inch and stamped these cuties in memento ink.  I then colored them up in an assortment of pastel Copics that match the April challenge color scheme.  I adhered a bit of twine and mounted that to the OH SO CUTE pink pastel polk-a-dot paper from the Spots and Stripes Pastel Paper Pad.

I then added a few white dots with a gel pen to mimic the cute paper from SugarPea Designs.  I hope you will join the challenge this month and stop by tomorrow for more amazing inspiration.

Hugs Bunny and a New Stencil from Whimsy!

Hi ya everyone!  Another cutie to share today.  This new bunny set called Hugs Bunny is just so sweet.  It's great for a sympathy card or any card where you need to give someone a hug.  I continue to be amazed by the cute things that Whimsy Stamps has every month.  Check out the stencil too on this card.  I used shimmer creative medium from Imagine on vellum with the new pinwheel stencil!  Underneath, I sprayed a sheet of bristol smooth with various Fireworks Sprays.  The frame was cut with the new Rectangle Shaker Maker from Whimsy.  I of course colored the bear and bunny with Copics and fussy cut them to adhere to the front.  I don't think this needed a sentiment but I did add a sweet one in the card itself.

I loved this set so much, I wanted to also try to make a card with mostly just the stamp set.  Check out how cute this turned out.  Spring colors were a huge inspiration for both of these creations.  I colored them with Copics in mostly pastel colors.  I then chose pastel Fireworks Sprays and sprayed some Bristol Smooth paper and then die cut with the same Rectangle Shaker Maker die.

Gingham Background and Bunnies Flying High

OH my gosh!!! I'm so excited about today's release!!! These bunnies are the CUTEST.  Truly, the best part of this set is the Gingham background stamp I used.  Even though I used a die cut guys, that stamp is a MUST have.  I just love it and will use it for so many of my cute cards.  I also used Fly By stamp set for the sweet clouds in the background.  This card is chalked full of Whimsy items.  You can find them all linked below.  I also used Summer Sky and Angel Pink Fireworks Sprays for the cloud background.  The gingham was stamped in Delicata Pink Shimmer and the sentiment was stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne.

Hello Spring - New Release at Whimsy Stamps!

Seriously, what says spring more than a cute bunny picking flowers?  I love this new image from Whimsy stamps by Lee Holland.  I created a background in Copics for my jumping bunny and decided to use a lot of green to really say spring.  The chipboard is also from Whimsy by Make It Crafty.  My Fireworks Sprays are gorgeous on the chipboard letters too.  I used Angel Pink for the front and Dessert Sand for the background letters.

Make sure to check out all the new images at Whimsy Stamps this week!

Fairies and Unicorns - New Release from Whimsy Stamps!

Hi ya everyone!  I am a day late and a dollar short this week.  Easter being on April 1st just confused me!!!  How could I forget the new Whimsy release!?  I LOVE this new release.  So many adorable images perfect for spring, including bunnies, fairies and some beautiful delicate stencils that I really adore.  Today, I will share this new set called Fairy and Unicorn Greetings.  A fantastic red rubber set with the two images above and a number of sentiments.

I colored the image in Copics and fussy cut them out. I used the Dangle Star stencil from Whimsy with Mango Madness VersaMagic ink which I then embossed with clear embossing powder.  Then, I used a number of Fireworks! Sprays (Bahama Blue, Sky Blue and Rose Bud) from Imagine on Bristol Smooth Card.  I decided to make a fun shaker card with this set too!  Make sure to check out all the new images from Whimsy available in the shop now!
